The Stand Up Paddle Book: The Complete Stand Up Paddle Surf Guide from Window Shopping to Catching Your First Waves
Here is a review of the Book.
"I found this guide to stand up paddling to be informative on all sides of the sport - from types of equipment to paddling in flat water to surfing techniques, and even what to do in a wipe out (which seems like a mystery to most beginner stand up paddle surfers). Even with its detailed description of techniques and advice, it is a fun book to read -- it is conversational in its tone, and has fun, sometimes humorous illustrations throughout the book. I don't know of any "stiff" or "serious" stand up paddlers, so with the book being on the fun and enjoyable side, I think it epitomizes the culture of stand up paddling -- at least here in Hawaii. Aloha"
